Websites you can update easily yourself
To make the most of a website, it helps if you regularly add new material, generally referred to as content, like interesting articles or news items. That way it will feel fresh and you are more likely to get visitors returning repeatedly.
To manage the addition of content it is best to use a Content Management System (CMS). This is software which runs on the computer hosting your website and lets you update and organise site content, and delete old content when it is no longer needed.
Most websites (except the very smallest of just a few pages) are best managed using a CMS. Since there are literally hundreds of different CMSes available, it can be very difficult to choose one above others. We generally use Drupal, a well-established and highly versatile open source CMS. Drupal is widely used for creating online communities but also supports essential business needs such as online shopping and has a modular structure that can be extended in a huge variety of ways.
